Ahhh, these are Lady Slipper’s, aren’t they? Beautiful orchids. They were my Mum’s favorite flower when i was growing up. They grow naturally around lakes and streams in Nova Scotia – my home province – and generally are the signal that spring has arrived. They do not do well in the heat of summer but like the cool wet weather. Great memories DBA – thank you.
