    • Most tree frogs are poisonous in their natural habitats. The frogs are able to produce and secrete the poison from eating clay soils, and processing the alkaloids and other elements in the soils, found in their natural environments. So unless the zoo is providing the frogs the proper clay soils, they will not be poisonous in captivity.
